Inscription

ARMORIALS: on each, engraved on front, end of handle, an unidentified coat of arms: (three wheat sheafs between a chevron or)
INSCRIPTIONS: scratched on back of handle "9138" and "S1495".

On back of each handle, maker's mark I (or J or G) Z in monogram; sovereign's head; thistle; date letter k
