Large D ware storage jar. Buffware shoulder jar with a rolled collared rim and a flat base. Complete and in very good condition. Decorated from mid body upwards with horizontal ‘comma shaped’ brushstrokes.

Provenance

From Dakka (ASN101/624/6). 1910. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
