This large globular redware jar has a founded base and a constricted straight neck. The upper portion of the neck is broken off and missing. The jar is treated with a thin red wash. Some earthy incrustations adhere to the exterior of the vessel.
From Kerma, Cemetery S, grave . 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
