This large, nearly drop-shaped jar has a rounded base, a wide mouth, and two rough, vertical lug handles applied to the upper body. The rim has a slight outward pull.

Provenance

From Meroe (Beg.S), grave 92. 1923: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
