Recto: 5 lines of Arabic calligraphy in dark brown kufic script; red vocalization marks; illuminated rosette verse marker outlined in blue; chapter heading for Sura Al-Fath (Victory) outlined in black and set in a gold band with an interlaced border and an attached stylized palmette outlined in blue. Verso: 7 lines of Arabic calligraphy in dark brown kufic script; gold dot pyramidal verse markers. Horizontal-format vellum.
