DescriptionCircular medal of Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903).
Obverse: Profile bust of Leo XIII looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "LEO·XIII·PONT·MAX·ANNO·II·" and under bust "P·BIANCHI".
Reverse: Frontal seated Pope, wearing the three-tiered tiara and holding a cross in his right hand and a book in his left; inscribed aat edge "GENE·ET·REGNVM QVOD·NON·SERVIERIT·MIHI·PERIBIT" and in exergue "MDCCCLXXIX".
Obverse: Profile bust of Leo XIII looking to proper right; inscribed at edge "LEO·XIII·PONT·MAX·ANNO·II·" and under bust "P·BIANCHI".
