Circular medal of Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903).

Obverse: Profile bust of Leo XIII looking to proper right; inscribed at edge “LEO·XIII·PONT MAX·ANNO·III·” and under bust “P·BIANCHI·”.

Reverse: Haloed man (possibly Thomas Aquanias) standing at center with personification of the church standing at proper right and a woman standing at proper left; inscribed at edge “THOMAE·AQVIN DOCTRINA·IN·PRISTINVM·DECVS·RESTITVTA” and in exergue “RENOVATVM·DIVINAE/HVMANAEQ·SCIENTIAE/FOEDVS”.

Inscription
