This lid is fashioned from a fragment of a brownware pottery vessel. Shaping is rough, and it has pronounced convex profile due to the section of the vessel from which the source fragment originated.
From Kerma. Excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
