Obverse, Greek inscriptions alternating with a stylized cross on a mound surrounded by sequins, embroidered in polychrome silk yarns on a red silk ground. Reverse, woven lining with a repeating star of David and paired cartouches with the Greek inscription “Holy City Jerusalem … A.D. 17 - 6.” Green cotton, yellow silk and metallic weft yarns; green, blue, red and white silk warp yarns. A carved mother of pearl medallion clasp on either end bearing the equestrian saints George and James (?).
