DescriptionAllegorical scene painted in oil on ivory on one side and designs in hair on back, with center medallion of initials. Front scene shows seated female figure and cherub in wooded setting, in front of flaming pedestal. Cherub reaches down from cloud, holding garland. Hair arranged in feather and wheat designs and coiled around initials. History included in case. Marks: initials WD, LLD and MMD 1800.
