Rectangular, heavily molded mahogany (or simulated) frame, gilded edges. Gilt strip across upper glass. In family group of Joseph Moore.

Provenance

Belonged to Joseph Moore (1804-1855) of Ware, Massachusetts, and shown in the portrait of his family by Erastus Salisbury Field in the Museum collection (58.25); by descent to his great-granddaughter Helen E. Farrar, Sherborn, Massachusetts; 1958, gift of Maxim Karolik (Accession Date January 9, 1958).
