Obverse: Encased in glass, profile bust of Louis Charles looking to proper right; inscribed at edge “LOUIS CHARLE DAUPHIN DE FRANCE NE A VERSAILLE LE 25 MARS 1785” and below bust “MART AU TEMPLE/LE 8 JANVIER 1795”.

Reverse: Inscribed “MÉDAILLIER/GENÉRAL/DES HOMMES ILLUSTRES/CÉLÈBRES OU FAMEUX/ANCIENS ET MODERNES/COMMENCÉ EN 1801/PAR P.G. LIENARD/A PARIS.”.
