DescriptionMan's semi-formal court coat (jifu) of bright blue silk twill embroidered with silk twist yarn and silver- and gold-metallic wrapped thread with eight four-clawed dragons and designs of fruit, flowers, waves, clouds, bats, flaming jewels, and Islands of the Blessed Plain satin stitch is used for clouds, bats, jewels, waves, and Islands of the Blessed. Peonies, lotus blossoms and peaches are embroidered in knot stitch. Dark navy sleeve extensions. Cuff, collar, and front edged with silk brocaded with gold-metallic lamellae.
