DescriptionGround: dark brown cotton cloth into which tapestry is woven. Warp: brown cotton (paired or tripled as foundation for tapestry). Weft: (brown cotton in cloth) wool, 20 to 30 per cm. Design: band with conventionalized flying birds woven with blue, crimson, neutral violet, dark brown, and white (cotton) on a light neutral yellow ground. Above and below, narrow bands with scrolls woven (lance) with dark neutral wool and white cotton. Above a row of step-sided triangles with highly conventionalized figures, perhaps flying birds, woven with same colors as in main band. Double and single slits used in outlines, tab fringe across bottom woven with light neutral yellow wool.
