Jaina manuscript cover of cotton with design of the Fourteen Dreams of Trisala embroidered in red, orange, blue, green and cream silk and outlined with couched black silk twisted cord, narrow border of openwork weave; mounted on cardboard.


1913, purchased from the library of Puj Kripa Rishi, a Jaina priest, Patti, Panjab by Ananda Coomaraswamy (b. 1887 - d. 1947); 1917, sold by Ananda K. Coomaraswamy to Denman Waldo Ross (b. 1853 - d. 1935), Cambridge, MA; 1917, given by Denman Waldo Ross to the MFA. (Accession date: April 5, 1917)
