Circular medal of Marie de’Medici as regent (1573-1642). Beaded rim on both faces.
Obverse: Profile bust of Marie de’Medici looking to proper left, wearing a crown with a fleur-de-lis; inscribed at edge “MARIA·AVGVSTA MED·FR·REG·MODERATRIX”.
Reverse: The Queen (as Juno) at center, wearing a crown and holding a sceptre in her right hand and a peacock in her left, sits on a rainbow above a harbor-city landscape; inscribed at edge “DAT [rosette] PACCATVM [rosette] OMNIBVS [rosette] AETHER [rosette]” and “1613”.
