Obverse: Profile bust of Lafayette looking to proper right; inscribed at edge “MIS DF LAFAYETTE MAL DE CAMP COMDANT GAL DELA GDE NALE PARNE” and under bust “DUMAREST F”.

Reverse: Emblem at center; inscribed at edge “COMPE DES GRENADIERS VOLONTAIRES DU IIIe BATAON DIVON 1789”.
