Mask of River God Acheloös. Gilded, hollow. Man’s head with hair (?) like a cap or crown; crisply modeled, stylized features, mustache, spade beard; flattened spots at either side of head where horns were attached. Large area of surface gilded, but gold rubbed of in places leaving darkened silver visible.
