DescriptionThe ground of the mainfield is dark red. The design consists of birds, animals, mermaids (?) and human figures. In the lower part are two fish-like creatures each swallowing a man, probably representing Jonah and the whale (?). The mainfield is framed by scalloped motifs; similar to 11.1436. The design is woven with green, yellow, blue, pink and red wool.
