Warp of linen; ground of brown wool, with the design of natural colored linen; woven into a stained white woolen fabric. The design consists of a vase from which stem scrolling branches which form a central medallion surrounded by six circular areas; two seated winged putti flank the vase, one plays the lyre and the other plays the flute; the central medallion encloses a putto holding a spear and a haloed human figure (?); each of the other four circular areas of the branches enclose an animal. Design shows Roman influence.
