Circular medal of Mehmed II, Sultan of the Turks (born 1430, sultan 1453-48), made after Costanzo da Ferrara’s visit to Turkey.

Obverse: Profile bust of Mehmed looking to proper right, wearing turban and cape; inscribed at edge in band “SVLTANI·MOHAMMETH·OCTHOMANI·VGVLI·BIZANTII·INPERATORIS·1481”.

Reverse: Mehmed on horseback looking to proper right in landscape; inscribed at edge in band “MOHAMETH·ASIE·ETCRETIE·INPERATORIS·YMAGO·EQVESTRIS·INEXERCITVS” and below horse “OPVS/CONSTANTII”.

Obverse: Inscribed at edge in band "SVLTANI·MOHAMMETH·OCTHOMANI·VGVLI·BIZANTII·INPERATORIS·1481".

Reverse: Inscribed at edge in band "MOHAMETH·ASIE·ETCRETIE·INPERATORIS·YMAGO·EQVESTRIS·INEXERCITVS" and below horse "OPVS/CONSTANTII".
