DescriptionThis mirror has an elaborate ornamental handle, decorated in a braided pattern ending with a capital surmounted by falcons. A gilded stud holds the disk and handle together.
ProvenanceFrom Kerma, K III, 318. 1914: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
