This large group of vessel fragments represents many different forms, including footed cups, cups with rounded bases, flaring cups, and jars. Most are made of a light red to red-brown clay fabric, sometimes somewhat coarse.

Provenance

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, Building 700, U-G. Corner, NW foundation deposit (disturbed). 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
