Part of a large collection of miniature copper tools and vessels found together in an intact burial chanber, this model replicates a censer for burning incense. The censer is made of almost pure copper and the simple, angular form reflects the use of the cold-hammering manufacturing technique.
From Giza G 2381 A (tomb of Impy). 1912: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
