The circular bowl, raised from sheet, rests on a fluted, domed foot. The bowl is chased with vertical fluting and has punched foliate motifs below and above. The scalloped rim is formed of applied cast scrolls, outlined with chased and matted panels. On each side of the bowl is a chased cartouche with a scale ground. A cast lion’s mask is applied to a matted panel on each side of the bowl and holds in its mouth a cast faceted drop handle with gadrooned ball.

ARMORIALS:engraved within a cartouche on each side, an unidentified coat of arms (vair a fess, impaling three annulets)
