春の部。落款部分に「正月三日毘沙門使（びしゃもんのつかい）」とあるように、愛宕神社の地主神（じしゅしん）毘沙門天を祭る強飯式（ごうはんしき・大鉢の飯を食べさせる行事）を描く。愛宕山は大地の東端にあり江戸の町を一望できた。遠景に江戸湾を望む。 -- 藤澤紫Ｋ
