Mourning picture: pall frames pillard church flanked by 2 small urns and willow trees; floral border 3 sides; portrays Providence Congregational Church with eulogy to her mother: “Abby bishop 1796. My mother departed this life March 24th 1796./ Then art thou gone my tender Parent dear / And drop my friends the Sympathizing tear / Gone! gone! and left your Children, Ere they know / One half the favors they recieved from you.” Polychrome silk yarns embroidered on linen. Good condition, hole near column. Building represented is First Congregational Church in Providence, destroyed by fire, June 14th, 1814 - see Bolton & Coe, Pl. LXII (op. p. 188)
