Oak, iron-bound. Rectangular with front and back planks cut into ends terminating in arched supports. Hinged lid flush at back & sides, slight overhang at front. Wrought iron straps in the form of fleur-de-lys tipped, riveted upright at front and horizontally at ends. Double lock over square escutcheon, hasps near ends. Iron-lined slot at left side of lid for coins.
