DescriptionThe small music stool has a Y-shaped base with three bun feet supporting a columnar pedestal capped with a simple brass band. The circular swivel seat is upholstered in black horsehair, secured part way over the seat rail with brass tacks. The stiles scroll backward, and the splat consists of a carved lyre with brass rods representing strings, secured between the turned crest rail and a lower rail.. The seat swivels and can be raised or lowered by revolving the seat on a large threaded screw inserted into the central column.
