Natural linen warp and weft. Design in 4 horizontal rows of 4 repeats each: top row: busts in wreath; 2d row: shield held by rampant lion and unicorn; 3d row: river scene with both banks, boats and bridges; 4th row: repeat of row one and top segment of row two. Border all four sides in florals; both selveges; hemmed both ends. Condition good: a few brown spots, one ink, lower left; darn on 2d bust 4th row; thin edges.
