Obverse: Profile bust of Napoléon looking to proper left and wearing a laureate wreath; inscribed at edge “NAPOLEON I EMPEREUR” and under bust “CT”.

Reverse: Tomb chest of Napoléon at center; inscribed at edge “TOMBEAU DE NAPOLEON”, under chest “INAUGURÉ LE 5 MAI”, and below “1853”.
