DescriptionDeep bluish violet ground; part of an all-over design of large circles connected by small circles and with mounted horsemen shooting at each other as they ride along; below each horse is a running lioness. The circle is surrounded by a conventional floral border. The design is woven with deep cream colored silk. Pieced and worn. Sewed to a piece of heavy linen. From the same piece as 15.526.
