This necklace of one thousand and one beads is composed of eight large carnelian ring beads, nine hundred and twenty-five very small faience ring beads, one small carnelian ring bead, and sixty-seven jasper (?) ring beads.

Provenance

From Mesaid tomb 557 [M/557]. 1913: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Egypt.
