DescriptionPicture of Adam and Eve in the garden embroidered onto linen canvas with wools, in browns, taupes, yellow-greens, neutral yellow, deep cream, blues, pink and white, and silks, in blue, yellow, white, blue, light neutral yellow, bluish-greens, gray (probably faded purple) and browns, and a little metal thread; in tent, cross, satin and knot stitch; design shows Adam and Eve standing under tree around which serpent is wound in landscape with hillocks, wooly lambs, rabbit, dog, birds, insects, and flowers throughout background; "Elizabeth Baker's Wrought in the Year, 1773" near top.
