Circular medal of Nicholas I Pavlovich (1796-1855), Tsar of Russia, commemorating the peace with the Ottoman Turks.

Obverse: Profile bust of Nicholas I looking to proper left, wearing laureate wreath; inscribed at edge “NICOLAUS I TOTIUS RUSSIAE IMPERATOR” and under bust “G.LOOS DIR.H.GUBE FEC.”.

Reverse: Emperor, wearing armor, standing at proper left and a Turkish warrior standing at proper right, each holding the same branch at center with many men and flags in background; inscribed above “PAX DATA TURCIS PETENTIBUS” and in exergue “HADRIANOP.D.II.SEPT.ST.V./MDCCCXXIX”.

Inscription

Obverse: Inscribed at edge "NICOLAUS I TOTIUS RUSSIAE IMPERATOR" and under bust "G.LOOS DIR.H.GUBE FEC.".

Reverse: Inscribed above "PAX DATA TURCIS PETENTIBUS" and in exergue "HADRIANOP.D.II.SEPT.ST.V./MDCCCXXIX".
