DescriptionNoh theater pleated split skirt (hakama) for role of Chinese boy with overall design of horizontal bands of repeating Chinese lion (shi shi) and butterfly (cho) motifs alternating with narrower bands of a repeating fretwork. The waistband has blue felt and a gold cord at the center front and two long ties; the bottom of legs are edged in red, white and blue crepe ruffles; lined with plain-weave ramie.
