Noh theater robe for female role (karaori) with a brown twill-weave silk ground and overall design of diamond-shaped crane pair motifs (tsuru) and tortoiseshell grid (kikkô-mon) in blue, green, purple and white silk and gilt paper discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts; reddish-orange plain-weave silk lining.
