This is a ferricrete sandstone offering table slab with bordering Meroitic, cursive inscriptions in the name of King Aritenyesbokhe, including names of the mother and father. 175 - 190 A.D.

Provenance

Meroe, found Beg. N 34, but thought to be from Beg. N 19. Excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
