Red with concave base. Side decorated on cream-colored slip with two birds and two large three-leaved plants with paired leaflets and flowers directly above bird heads. All designs painted in Sienna-colored slip outlined in black. Two black rings surround lower border of cream-colored slip. Extensive cracks around middle of jar crudely reinforced with glue within.

Markings

Two printed labels pasted on side behind bird head read: "FROM/ZIA Pueblo Indians / West of Rio Grande River,/ NEW MEXICO". A hand written number, 1025, inked on one label.
