Smoky quartz. Oval intaglio with flat front, faceted back and rounded girdle. Head of a middle-aged man in profile to left with a receding hairline and close-cropped hair rendered by short strokes. A cloak is fastened around his neck. Small chip on the upper right edge of the gem.
