Intaglio. Lion-headed serpent; the tail makes a double loop. Seven double rays project from the lion head. Chnoubis is a solar deity common on magical gems. Inscribed in Greek on obverse: XMOU / MIC (Chmoumis, a variant of Chnoubis). Inscribed in Greek on reverse: Z M X above the Chnoubis symbol (three characters similar to lightning bolts).
