Red jasper. Intaglio. Flat on both sides with inward back bezel. A double head. A youth wearing a crested helmet looks to the left. Youth has a large eye, a prominent nasal ridge line of the nose, and a series of three deeply carved lines indicated the lips and bottom edge of the nose. The line of the helmet extends back to form the forehead of a bald bearded man with large nose and an incised iris.

Tell Dafana (Daphnae). 1886: excavated by William Matthew Flinders Petrie for the Egypt Exploration Fund, assigned to the EEF by the Egyptian government; presented to the MFA at EEF fifth annual general meeting; sent over June 1, 1887.
