DescriptionSilk obverse and paper reverse leaf: obverse design of painted flowers with gilt-silver chain stems and rows of spangles, center scene of two men on shore, ships behind (probably representing amicable settlement of French-English navel engagement); reverse: three painted sprays of flowers. Carved and pierced ivory sticks decorated with gilt-silver and silver and piqué work.
