DescriptionPair of gloves said to have belonged to Cardinal Richelieu. Flaring cuffs of white satin with design of large flowers and foliage worked with green, pink and blue silk and silver thread worked over padding attached to gloves knitted in stripes of brown and cream colored silk. A medallion on the right-hand glove is embroidered with the monogram of Christ, one on the left hand glove is with the monogram of the Virgin. Trimmed with tufts of ribbon and silver thread. Faded.
