DescriptionPaper and cloth covered vamp embroidered with gilt-silver yarns, wires, foil and bits of red and mirrored glass in motif of quatrefoils and oval rosettes; fleur-de-lis formed at throat, red velvet quarters, butted seams. Long pointed toe solidly embroidered with gilt-silver yarns in herringbone pattern on top, embroidered like vamp on bottom. Brown leather sole with stacked leather flat heel. Leather insole, lining. Turnshoe construction. Condition: tarnished and worn, some embroidery and glass missing.
