Pair of slippers (worn with wedding dress, 56.846). Cream-colored corded silk. Low heels; thin leather soles and lifts. Break or tear in silk on inside edge of each shoe, near toe. Stamped in gold on white sole of right shoe: “Thayer, McNeil and Hodgkins/47 Temple Place/ Boston.” Worn by Ellen Nichols Wood (Mrs. Harry S. Hall).
