NOTES:
[1] These shoes were sold as part of a benefit auction for AMFAR held by Christies in which dresses worn to the Academy Awards were sold. Although not listed in the catalogue, this pair of shoes accompanied lot 54, a "Mystery Dress," which would be worn by an unnamed star at the upcoming Oscar ceremony that year. Cate Blanchett ultimately wore the dress and shoes to the ceremony on Sunday, March 21, 1999 where she was nominated for Best Actress for her role in "Elizabeth."
