This is a finely-grained, oval-shaped palette. Both surfaces are flat. There are traces of green pigment on one side. The stone is travertine (Egyptian alabaster).

Provenance

From east bank, 1.5km south of Sheikh Sharaf (ASN134/14/2). 1911. Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
