DescriptionPanel; loom width. Ivory colored silk damask weave with red silk pattern wefts. Design: four and a half repeats, each bordered by row of name S. IOSEPH inscribed in leafy cartouche; between each row of cartouches are flowers and drills, compasses and other references to Joseph's trade as a carpenter. Damask design of leaves, flowers and fleur de lis. Condition good; pieced at top.
