DescriptionThe design, a saint holding a chalice (St. John the Evangelist) standing in a niche, with a round arch, is couched with blue, white, red, yellow and green silk, red and black wool, and silver thread, made by winding linen thread with silvered-gold beaters' skin. The gold thread made with metal was probably added later. The figure of the saint is applied.
